Day 1 report

Below is the report of Day 1 (2nd June 2009) when we traveled from Bangalore and reached Madhumalai and stayed in Jungle homes. This report is as narrated by Dhrupad - ably interviewed by Asawari) and further additions by Asawari.

We came by car. We reached. We parked our car. On the road the Elephants attacked jeep. All the elephants went. There were some baby elephants. We crossed. (watch the video here)

 

Then we reached and parked our car. We came inside. Uncle opened our room and we went. We ate sambar, rice, curd and kaakara.

Didi drawed horsey for me. I coloured. I coloured with colour pencils. Then we went for a walk till a deeper camp with a guide.

 


On the way we went through fields. In the fields there were ginger plants, bitter gourd and some other plants. We rested for 10 minutes on the hammocks. Then walked back. On our way we stopped at a bakery and bought lots of toffee, chocolates and few biscuits packets. Me and achoo bought one one chocolate sticks and even ate 2 bananas.

Oh! I forgot - in the village we saw children playing on some wooden scooter tpe toy. They sat on it and slid down the hill. It looked fun.

We then ate dinner and slept.
