Kaveri river flows through Ranganatittu and there are many trees around. You will find water birds and land birds. The bird sanctuary opens at 7:30am and closes at 6:30pm - all days. My first bird was Paradise fly catcher. We took a boat and went around the river and looked at the water birds.
We then went towards the car and we saw a Grey Hornbill eating seeds. We went along the river for some time and saw many birds. I did photography. It was fun. Our last bird was the Crested Serpant Eagle. We think it is a female we don't know really. At Zoo we saw Golden Oriole - golden yellow, bla wings and tail Blue rck Pigeon - grey bird, green purple neck Ashy Drongo - grey bird with fork tail BIRD of The DAY - GREY HORNBILL

Asawari was trying hard to catch flying Painted stork - finally she got. Thanks to digital cameras we could afford to click more than 15 pics to get one flying bird in our camera :). Dhrupad was busy making trails and collecting sticks. He too was carrying his Binoculars - but wanted to see the other way round. He was excited to see Crocodiles.
