We Celebrated - In the morning we cleaned up the house. We then made Till laddoos. My friends came home. We had lunch together. After lunch we did kite flying. In the evening we did pooja as we could not do in the morning.

Kite Flying - It was awesome. Half day went in kite flying. We tried and finally succeeded flying kites.

Lunch - Makki ki roti, Pulav, Aloo gobi ki sabji, Undiya, Kachori, Curd, Papad

Pooja - Lighted teh lamp. Chanted Gayatri MAntra, put tikka and ate prasad.

on 14th January Uttrain period starts. Devads represents light and Asuras represents Night. So people do new things in this period like buy cars, house etc.

On Sankranti - The sun god goes to meet his son. The father and son never be good together otherwise. So all on this day all the father should go and meet their son.

The earth enters the Capricorn(makar) rashi. The days starts getting longer and nights shorter.
