Mummy Wrote - Asawari explored TILE through maths. She also has been working on composition in art class. So both together we came up with the idea of Composing design on T-shirt with tile.

Asawari Wrote: I first played around with Tile of size 6cm and made a pattern on a paper. I then put newspaper inside my t-shirt and with a pencil I lightly drew the design. Then I painted it and the parts where two shapes were interlocking i made patterns. I used fabric colours. I have used fabric colurs on a canvas, on another t-shirt and pots earlier. I felt that the fabric colur was not spreading on the cloth - I tried to use little water still it was difficult - I was able to paint little. 

It did not come out the way I thought - Colors were coming too dark - I wanted to make them light but there was no white color so in some I added yellow and painted but yellow colour also finished - so I painted it dark. And my paint started mixing together and my interlocking is not clear.

There are lots of colour patches on the t-shirt - I will be careful next time. I will make sure that there is no paint on my hand. When I am using the brush I will make sure that the brush only paint the place it has to paint. I was in a hurry to paint so the lines did not come clearly. next time I will paint slowly each line.

I want to first practice on paper, then on rough cloth and then on a Pillow cover. I am feeling "not nice". I will wear this t-shirt for my night. It is not looking nice :(.

I had planned that I will start Ganga model in the evening but now first I will practice this and then start Ganga model.
