Tongue is a skeleton muscle. It has many blood vessels because it works the whole 24hrs. just like the heart.
Uses: -
Tasting - when you put your food in the mouth the tongue tells you how the food taste.
Speaking - When you speak you realize that your tongue also moves and helps you speak.
Moving food - When you put food in your mouth the tongue moves your food.
Picking - If you have realize animals use their tongue to pick  up food. They do not have hands like us to pick the food.

Taste Buds - When food goes in the mouth the taste buds tells us how the food taste. Sweet and Salty taste buds are at the tip of the tongue. Sour at the sides and bitter at the end.
