responsible day
we started off with a guided visualisation of our day. and many children were doing it for the first time and they kept giggling. some of them couldn't help answering the question. at the beginning of the session i gave full chalks to everybody to take care for me till the end of the session. i guess quiet a discovery for them what responsibility does to them. in between their chalk broke and they kept coming to me and expressing their anxiety.
our interview
in our endeavour to explore teamwork today we had an interview. different roles were taken by everyone and they decided to go about with their tasks. in this day and age when children are so familiar with phones the reluctance to talk a stranger on phone was evident and took quiet some discussions amongst themselves to decide on who would talk on the phone. it was fun to watch them in serious discussion they didn't seem kids almost seasoned executives!
making rainbows
today we started off with the puppet show and was great to see them come up with stories on strengths. the lions joined our group and the cubs were excited to have the lions with and was in awe of them. the lions were not too pleased to be here and said they would work in their areas. they too hosted a puppet show. then we did an activity on teamwork by picking up colours and making rainbows in an attempt to understand teamwork.
food for my strengths
children enjoyed making their puppets and they couldn't complete maaking their story on developing a strength. so we have scheduled it for the next week.
my likes and dislikes
today's session was to know about my likes and dislikes and what strengths i am using. they were busy tring to identify their strengths - which was great.
