Solution for any situation

Submitted by anjali pande on Wed, 10 Aug 2011

We were waiting for the pick up card, when aunty expressed that she does not get pick up card and wants to go home, need pick up card for her as well . Children replies to it with saying you stay in Geniekids, sleep here - take bed from the cupboard and sleep in the class, when aunty asked about where can she take bath, children said there is a bathroom , can have it there, then aunty asked about cloths , children said you wear the same dress don't change it. I was wondering how children was having solution for each situation, as they are saying to me "Don’t worry, There are solutions for any situations."

ON And OFF channel of feeling

Submitted by anjali pande on Mon, 18 Jul 2011
We have the self genie place where we express feeling in different ways. One child was crying for grandparent, when children and aunty pointed towards self genie place about expressing same. That child went there and expressed her feeling by crying and when felt to talk about fun work , joined the group, talked about it, again when felt crying, went to self genie place cried and then again did the same. It was like an OFF and ON channel of feelings.

During an activity of exploring our face features, one child was recognizing her face features by talking to herself, “my eyebrows ( stretching it up), black colour eye balls, hairs, nice hair clip, nose (pulling her nose up)with two holes , ears, teeth, tongue, lips without lipstick”, I was enjoying her facial expression.

Submitted by anjali pande on Fri, 3 Dec 2010

During play shop lunch time, one child asked aunty, "aunty su-su " , when aunty asked with wondering, "aunty su-su" or do you want to say that, " i want to go to toilet?", we  laughed and child change his sentence , that she want to go to toilet.

Same fun happen with other child, This child was eating his lunch in the kitchen and when his eating got over, he was saying "I finished". I was thinking how language  makes fun....
