P(l) eace (S) can i have one?
Come saturday morning (last saturday Jan 20, 2007) and i woke up to the horrifying news of the wide spread riots in bangalore. The papers were filled with them!! i did go to take my class in my usual upbeat manner but somewhere i had this rather uneasy - "what is the world coming to" kind of feeling...but once into the session, i totally forgot the outside world and got engrossed with the activities and chatter of the kids.
Theme: Create your own kingdom on a crown. Give it a new name, what is your kingdom made of, what kind of people are there, what kind of CODES/ RULES would you ask people to follow and so on.
The kids were at their creative best as ever and set about making their own kingdom. One child's response particularly caught my attention on the kingdom he was creating. He said " My kingdom will never have any bad people. There are no robbers or thieves and everyone will be very good". Me being me asked - what if the good people themselves become bad later? So he says, he'll have a special scanner that scans people regularly and that scanner when its senses that people are not being good, it'll throw them out:))
Boy! we sure need a scanner like that.
I was not able to question him further that day, but you can be sure that i'll bring it up soon. Watch my blog for more interesting thought processes and discussions:)
