Red, blue, green. We know what they mean

Today we all became cars and bikes and drove on the roads in our class and explored what the traffic signal is like. We sang a song and now we know what the red, yellow and green lights mean.

Cookie time

Today we had a big ball of atta and all together we tried to pat it into a big chapati. Then we used cookie cutters and explored making different shapes in the atta. Finally we rolled the atta back into a big ball. Some genies made things like cluster beans, small rotis, snakes, big and small fruits, etc.

Sab kuch gol gol gol

We have been exploring circles for some time now. Even today we spotted many circles in the room , on the walls, on the shirt of our friend, on the dress of our friend, and everywhere around us. It was indeed fun to see so many circles and punching circles and decorating circles using shining circles. We even spinned around in circles.

Circle time

Today was PCD day for this month and a big thanks to the parents who came and joined us in our class today. We had a great time picking and choosing seeds of different sizes and tying them in a hanky and giving them a blue coloured bath. We are very eager to see what pattern emerges from it. We also had an activity of decorating big and small circles with circles like bindis and sequins and glitter powder.
We also celebrated the birthday of our friend who turned two yesterday and enjoyed his sweets. He too enjoyed the birthday song.

Today we celebrated Independence day with grand parents. We had a lot of fun playing games with Grannies. We also had fun in the rhymes time with grand parents joining and a special thanks to Manasi's grandfather for playing the harmonica for us during the anthem and the rhymes. We also enjoyed eating gol gol yummy laddoos.

Kata kata boom boom

Our new friend who joined last week has taken to singing and dancing to the tune of taka taka dhum dhum. Today he started his version of the same as kata kata boom boom in the snacks break and soon we had a full fledged bhangra session. We even followed a new tune today and danced to it.
Our practice for the independence day is also going on with full energy. It is great to see the little ones salute and sing the anthem and then say Jai Hind with full josh.

Perseverance

Today in Droppy's class, we had fun making houses using playing cards. Initially all the genies were only saying that their houses were falling down. Then one genie managed to get his house to stand. Soon all the others followed and it was a great sight to see the happy and proud faces of all the genies when they were able to make their houses. Soon creative juices started churning and the houses had walls, doors, roofs, etc. They also counted the number of cards they had used. Some houses turned out to be 2-D multi storied houses too!

Snacks orchestra

In the snacks break, one genie did not want to eat. He picked up his box lid and fork and started playing ding ding ding. Another child joined in and played on her box. One little genie then started dancing to the tune and we soon had a full orchestra in the class. We also sang gobi aaya, gobi aaya.
Today we explored gum, fevicol and enjoyed using it but after a while, a little genie said,"chipku chipku". It was fun to see them peeling off the fevicol from the fingers.

Jai Hind

We are practicing the national anthem for the independence day for the past few days and by now all the genies have picked up saying Jai Hind with great energy. We have also picked up a few words from the anthem as well.
Almost every day we also enjoy sitting on Aunty's legs and rowing a boat singing row row row your boat.

Ka Ka Ka Ka,

Today after having our snacks, we went to the terrace to give food to the birds. We took along seeds and kept them on the wall. We very patiently waited behind to see if any birds come to eat the seeds. A few crows did come on the tree and we all screamed Ka Ka Ka Ka. But the crows did not come to eat the seeds. However, we did see a mummy bird feeding a baby bird on the tree branch. It was very interesting to see the crows cawing and calling his friends to come and eat.
