Habits of Mind (Sudha)

Just as an afterthought I was wondering how much does trust have to with
expectations.When we talked about trusting the water to come in the tap when
we open it or the example that Punitha gave about hammering a nail onto the
wall and trusting the painting not to fall down , is it not about
"expectations". Even when we share a secret with a friend and don't want it
to be shared .We feel hurt when the expectation is not met.

We have always been told never expect or keep your expectations low and
you'll be happier.Leaves me wondering.
