We are an eclectic bunch of individuals who have constantly experimented with various ways of learning and have considerable understanding of the advantages and the challenges such a Life School system throws up. We are committed professionals who as part of the 11 year old ‘Geniekids Learning Center’ have a deep experience and wide expertise of working with the concept of LIFE school.

 

 

 


 Geeta, a mother quips, “Don’t know about my daughter, but I am here to learn myself - to grow as an individual myself. When she sees me investing in learning, the energy is infectious.

“As a facilitator, I don’t do much. Most of the time I just observe children, listen to their stories, and share their concerns and emotions. Sometimes I question them. Sometimes I guide them to set their own goals. Most of the time, I just let them learn”
   
   

Life school is also a parent’s co-op school. The school is run by a public charitable trust with both school management and parents as part of the management team.
The Life School program necessitates parent involvement - physically, mentally and emotionally, to enable harmonious ‘life learning’ environment for each child. So not only parents are an integral part of the Life School in decision making - they get actively involved in designing learning, resource development and even conducting programs with children. For example one parent who is software professional is working with children on programming, while another with expertise in plants is working with children in gardening.
