Learning to Read

We are using the Blend Phonic method to enable children to learn how to read.

This method of learning how to read is based on work of Hazel Logan Loring

contained in a tiny freely available e-book called
" Reading Made Easy with Blend Phonics"

(geniekids has merely adapted this method - added more masala (spice) into it - but 100% credit goes to people who have devised it.

Geniekids Blend phonics method

This method assumes that children have the basic phonemic awareness - as in they know the common sounds each letter stands for - for example letter 'b' makes the sound /b/ (buh).
