Children falling sick
With the child going out of protected environment of house and getting in touch with other children, and different environment - child is prone to catching mild infections leading to cold, cough, fever, stomach upset, etc.
We do take sufficient care to make sure kids wash hands before they eat, running nose is clean up with tissue paper and disposed in dustbin (we do not use hand napkin to clean running nose).
However, getting unwell is part of going out and getting exposed to new environment - as such no worry but parents can take few precautions to avoid further spreading the infection to other children. We request parents to NOT to send the child if the child has
- Severe cold/ cough or Fever
- any other infection
In case of mild cold - parents can take decision whether it will affect other children or not. Many times kids in their enthusiasm insist on coming to school (we take this as compliment :) but this may not be favorable for other children. So please do not send the child if the child has any infection/ fever/ which can spread to other children or can be taxing to your child.
Children being absent due to sickness is also part of going to preschool - and we are prepared to settle the child again in the class room after absence due to sickness. Just to remind you PLEASE inform us if the child is absent any day - mail is the most preferable medium. You can also sms, call or send us a note.
