Child's Birthday

CHILD BIRTHDAY: It's an exciting day both for the child and the parents. However to keep the focus on the child, rather on how expensive or how inexpensive the celebration are

1. Parents please send ONLY max one toffee or chocolate (within Rs5/- each) for each child. You can only send for your child's class or all the classes. Check numbers with us in advance. You can include ten extra for the staff.
   
2. Please do not send cake or any other food item for distribution.
3. No gifts are allowed  
4. GenieKids will run a set of small activities that CELEBRATE the birthday child and make the child feel special. If you want you can participate in this – though do realize that your presence may make the child very conscious. This usually takes 10-15 minutes. 
5. If the parents would like to invite all the group-mates to a birthday party at their home during off school hours/ days – GenieKids can help you distribute the invites and give you contact details of parents of children of your child’s group.

  Other Ditribution

1. One child bought cakes for the whole class and distributed
2. One child wanted to distribute sweets for a relatives b'day
3. One parent just distributed big chocolates bars to each child outside the school just like that (came back from a tour).
4. One parent came from US and send some special chocolates to distribute inside the class.

We realized that today it is just small distribution - Soon this becomes LARGE distribution (now sweets, chocolates - later gifts etc). We share our happiness in different ways - talk about, bring pictures and stories in show and tell, have social get together at home

1. If kids wish they call their finds at home to celebrate - they can distribute invites in the school
2. Now, If they wish they get on one two extra sweets and share as part of their meal sharing time (no swine flu constraint of not sharing meal) - precaution - do not share food which is half eaten.
