New Campus
Update 1st April, 2011
We have a concept in geniekids called "giving FISH" - where fish is something you give: a praise, a pat, a gift, a something ... but whatever you give, you give JUST LIKE THAT.
We even have a section on our website called 250 ways of giving FISH.
But we never dreamed that the biggest fish given will be given to US.
Today, Deb uncle officially gave us 4.89 acres of land - JUST LIKE THAT!
We are completely overwhelmed by his FISH and have no idea how to express our gratitude.
The only prayer we have is one day we too develop such a deep attitude of GIVING.
Yessss, Aarohi has now ~5 acres of beautiful land to build its dream school from scratch.
As Deb uncle said, "Let the brick and mortar action begin".
So we run two centers
I campus - Indiranagar Campus (current building) for YOUNGER children (khoj + aarohi from 5.5 to 8/9 years)
K - Campus for children 9 and above (They can come to Hosur campus alternate day - like CFL)
so then GK@indirinagar is like the junior or primary (city) campus while the Hosur campus is the more elaborate off-city campus for middle and secondary years and also for the live-in parents
The key reasons to set up the "big" hosur campus are (according to us):
1. Children need more space
2. Children need more children
3. Children need more resources (like a carpentry workshop or a music room which is not feasible in the current building - because of reason 1)
All are not possible in the "indiranagar" campus
that is why city campus for younger (less than 9 years) children - as for hosur campus - for younger children - parents either may not want to commute so much or may not be comfortable staying alternate days (CFL model).
while once children are bigger parents might be more open to either travel every day or shifting near to big campus or alternate day travel.
