Savitri 13ttt (Online) says: The significance of SPACE technique is very useful to facilitators. Through this they can identify the solutions lying within the child. Facilitators approach towards the child is the key factor.
I never asked my son like this before. Whenever he is in the middle of any problem if he comes to me I used to directly solve. I never gave him opportunity to think for the solution. Because sometimes there will be lack of time and other times I want to just close the situation right there so that he can work with other subjects. It sounds quite funny to me now because for my own benefit I am putting barriers to my child.
I am not giving freedom to experiment nor am I letting him to open questions.
This is all because we are constrained to one limit that is school. The same daily routine getting up ,going to school , coming back , doing homework’s and last but not least preparing for tests. I n all these works we are somewhere not able to bring out the desired result what the child expecting from us. May be school should change its mode of learning or competition between marks should be removed . Then as per my thoughts I can raise my child .
Subha 13ttt says: We are always in a hurry to give solutions to our children and without realising end up giving lectures which is of no use SPACE is a tool which has all the requistes to empower a child in turn making him a independent thinker

Mahalakshmi 11ttt says: Leaving the child to think by thinking questions helps the child to take decisions on his own, believe in his capabilities , acceptance comes in and the child is INDEPENDENT , grows with Self Esteem
Sarang 11ttt says: The right type of questioning is one of the things (key) in a series of others which when changed could lead us towards making life more happier, thinking, learning and satisfying. Would this change occur if teaching becomes a passion rather than remain just a profession?
