Pick up and Drop

PDF version

1 Pick up

Kindly follow the pick up system. At the time of joining Geniekids will issue the PICK UP card for your child.

The person coming to pick up the child would drop the pick up card in the pick up basket (near blue gate).
The card will be handed over to the faculty who will send the child (with the card).

If anybody other than the parents or grand parents is coming to pickup – say a maid or a driver to pick up the child on a regular basis, then for child’s safety you will have to paste the photo of the caregiver behind the pick up card and sign across the same – to enable us to be sure that we are sending the child with the right person.

If you have more than one person who could be picking up the child please ask us to issue more than one pickup card. If you are sending someone different - just for a day or so - then please inform us when you drop the child or call / email us in advance.

2 When you drop the child at the school

One of the faculty is at the gate with care taker to receive the child and we plan a special welcome at the gate. If no-one from geniekids is at the gate - please WAIT at the gate or come till reception till someone from geniekids RECEIVES the child. Please do not leave the child alone (specially if you have come late).

The child's first step of independence at Khoj starts at the blue gate - removing shoes by SELF, taking care of own belongings etc. Thus the child enters the world of INDEPENDENCE. Parents are requested to drop the child at the blue gate and allow the child to remove shoes by self.

The same process please follow while picking up - the blue gate is your boundary - ALLOW the child to FIND the footwear, wear by SELF and carry personal belongings. In the process child may take LONGER time, may forget water bottle or snacks box or the jacket. But the child is gaining confidence to do things by SELF.

Your 'patiently waiting in SILENCE' at the gate (without any instructions) is a demonstration of 'YOUR' patience to the child - it is worth the wait.
