What we did?
On Day2, the children entered with much enthusiasm with aunty greeting them with “Jai Hind”
· This was followed by stretch out exercises by sitting in the circle holding hands together and also saying one line on nature-“ I like rain. My name is.....”
· The stretch out exercises, were followed by meditation. After that the children discussed about nature- what they think about nature? , what is nature etc. They also made sounds of various birds and animals and danced like them. This made children stimulated as they were divided into two groups- “Parrots and Porcupines”
· They were also very participative and went on to do the activity- “Make a Nature Park” and most of them had everything on the sheet- right from human beings, seasons, trees, insects, sea creatures etc.
· This was followed by snack time with discussion on professions – aunty asking the child about his parents profession. Once the snack time was over, they were all asked “ what they would like to be when they grow older? There were many interesting answers – storywriter, oceanographer, scientist, astronaut etc.
· After this they all wrote on the slates two- three sentences” what they want to be?” the children who had difficulty in writing drew the same.
· In Reflection, they all discussed about what they learnt in the class, where else they have been close to nature and how?
How children responded?
· The children like the stretch out exercises and also liked the “jai-Hind” entry.
· They were all very keen to do the activity accept one girl who showed little interest in doing herself and was observing others. I asked her if she would like to do something else- she said’ no’
· The children liked discussing about professions.
· After the activities got over, we went to the NECTAR area and played “Dog and the Bone” with different constraints- picking the bone with one leg, picking the bone with closed eyes, partnering and hopping with one leg etc.

On day 1, the children entered with much enthusiasm and introduced themselves by telling about one thing they like and their name.
· This was followed by stretch out exercises, dancing on “zinga-lala”, jumping like their famous cartoon characters followed by meditation.
· After that we all went to the sunshine area and played hopscotch as 4 teams- tigers, lions, monkeys, giraffes. For some the game was new while some were familiar with it.
· Then we all sat down in the circle to discuss about the dame and began with logical intelligence- they all did some additions, subtractions keeping in mind the hopscotch game. Few children found it difficult, so blocks were distributed to each child and they were again divided into groups with two in one group and then began- the “addition- subtraction concept again. This they really liked and enjoyed and wanted to do for some more time.
· This was followed by displaying blocks and making something out of the blocks.
· By then it was snack time, and we all had our snacks.
· After this, we did some energizers by playing “Dog and the Bone” which they all enjoyed.
· This was proceeded by reading from books, knowing about words, understanding meanings etc.
· After that, we all focused on hopscotch numbers and they drew cartoon characters out of numbers from 1-8 and alphabets.
· After that in last 10 mins, they all went to have a giniekids tour.
· In reflection, they discussed about hopscotch, additions, subtractions and also reading from books and how interesting it is for each child.
