Process
- One faculty at the gate
- Welcome by Faculty- Faculty to go down for wel come when the music starts. welcome can be inside the gate or out side the gate.
- Keep material ready on Friday for all 5 days-keep a separate tray for Welcome
- Welcome with a small activity related to the theme. Instruction less activity - example - Stick hand cutouts on the gate and ask the children to give a High5 on the hand as they go in. More on website to begin - http://geniekids.com/view_250_ways?tid[]=131
- No wrong or right - open activity.
- If many kids gather at the welcome (stay for longer time) - ask them to move in so others can get space/ chance to do the activity.
- If any parents ask for any doubt, guide them to reception. Welcome faculty to be with children.
- If any parents want to leave any note for any child/ faculty - ask them to give you in writing (pad and pen at the gate).
- As the welcome music stops, faculty come inside with the material.
- Arrange for table to keep material
- Chairs for children for sitting if raining
Faculty Role
- Understand the welcome and try the same
- Keep material ready by Friday of the previous week
- As sunshine song starts come at the gate with welcome material and care taker
- Table for welcome
- be there for the child
- Display things related to class
- Write the weekly diet and the daily special on the board outside
- If parents have any thing to communicate guide them to the paper in the welcome
Child Role
- Child come in time (before 9:10) - When any child comes before 9.10- sit in the chair of reception. Read book. Keep it back once welcome music and faulty comes out.
- Child decides whether to do or not do the activity

- Responsible for the material- self _shoes, welcome material
- Goes up to the class
- Take help of care taker in going up the stairs safety reasons
- Care taker waits for any support is not doing things for children-empowering children to become independent
- Interacts with others.

- Can I talk to the faculty during welcome
During welcome faculty is with child so will not respond to your queries. You can write a note, slips and pen kept on the black gate - My child is not doing any thing in the welcome
Child chooses what to do, child may do child may observe what others are doing and will move ahead - Can I wait and see what is happening
Most welcome you are a mute spectator
