What is Life education
Aarohi, Life School is not a way, or a method or an approach.
It is a space, an environment, an acceptance, a belief, a soil for the child to grow into a beautiful unique being. We envisage children to grow naturally into empowered beings who can think, lead and enjoy their own life.

The Life School in Action
As a visitor commented on visiting our Life School “I see busy excited children, everywhere, but where is the school? Where is the classroom, the blackboard, subject periods, teaching?”
In fact, learning in Life School is based on:
Work: "I learn because I do, apply, create"
Empowerment: "My learning flows from me, I am in-charge, my thinking leads".
Multiple Intelligences: "I discover my own strengths, talents, interests; I grow via wide exposures; I learn in my way, for my own reasons".

As a school we provide an environment that is resource-filled physically, stimulating mentally, and empowering emotionally.
The rest the children take over. They lead, we follow.
The HOLISTIC school - What I am today is more imp than what I will be tomorrow - ACCEPT the child's choice, strengths and RESPECT him whatever is he. At Aarohi there are no preset requirements that all the children should excel in ALL the areas. We expose children to ALL the skills - how, when and where child picks the learning is completely led by the child. No child is pushed to reach the level of OUR desires. We believe all kids LOVE to learn - they may not learn the way we want to teach them.
The FREE and FEAR less school - At Aarohi we all are equal - we have authority and we all are authority. If I am stationery leader then I am responsible, I am the authority also - I make rules how to use or not use, at the same time I cannot make rule at my will - I negotiate, convince people for every rule, others can accept or reject my rules. Through discussions and democratic process we come to conclusion and at the end I am responsible. In case of no conclusive decision I use my Veto - we follow this rule till we reach any conclusion. So no-one is authority yet each one of us are responsible and have right to decide. Same applies to faculty - all are have their own responsibility, while the coordinator has no authority to interfere with the class, at the same time have responsibility to ensure the quality inside the class.
The PARENTS school - The parents are integral to the school. They are not the customers of the school, who would receive the periodic progress report of the child. Rather parents are the key facilitators of growth and development of the children. Parents here invest their time, effort and mind space in understanding their child. They then use this understanding to offer the child the kind of relationship that will help the child to grow.
Hence, parents too, constantly work on themselves. Parent's involvement in the school is mental (resources), physical (time) and emotional (support) (apart from financial :-)
