  • Pre School Magic

I thought I must write to say thanks to you for the remarkable changes that I am seeing in Anoushka this year. Suddenly, she is busy writing (in fact wrote her name in leass than half a minute!!), trying to read by herself and is generally exploring and experimenting a lot. She draws designs and patterns and is able to translate her keen observations into some concrete drawings.
I am not sure how much she speaks up in class, but she has lots of stories these days to tell of her day at school. She comes to school with a sprint in her footsteps and what really touched me today was the joy with which she told me - I learnt something new amma, and her ability to keep on trying till she got it right / the way she wanted it.
    Thanks to you alll

    Ms Minakshi, Mother of Anoushka
  • Pre School Fantastic Job

Just wanted to say that u all are doing a fantastic job.The amout of research and insight that goes into any topic just bewilders me....i am so happy and mentally relaxed that gaurika is part of khoj....
Wanted to write this mail for a very long time...could do it today after reading your newsletter on family.

    Nidhi (mother of Gaurika)
  • Expereince

The card was a good experience. Rishikesh did most of it.
( The colouring and identifying of alphabets from the news paper.)
I just wrote the words in a sheet of paper.
Also liked the activity of learning the phone number ,which is part of this
months home work. Will try to make Rishikesh do the same.
My mom was also happy to visit her grandsons school :-)

    Madhulika Rao (mother of Rishikesh)
  • Confidence

i just want to share a small incident which happened in the morning.
as usual at 9 a m i went to drop pranav to the van, but the van had not yet come, so we walked towards omisa`s house, even omisa was not at her place, so i asked pranav to go to omisa`s house, immediately pranav so confidently he crossed the road and walked towards omisa`s house. i as mother , i see a sea of change in my son. A CONFIDENT EMPOWERED PERSON IN MY SON. ratnesh for me its a big deal ,as i know how my son was.
A BIG THANKS TO GENIE KIDS TEAM IN EVOLVING US A BETTER PERSONS.(me and pranav).
    keep guiding us!
    thanks alot!

    Rajeshwari (mother of pranav)
  • Transformed playtime

I can see that in the way my daughters play time has transformed. It was simple play earlier, now it has lot of content. Earlier, a car use to go from one corner of the room to the other corner for shopping or use to look for parking slot. Now it is passing through lot of traffic, and also interrupted by traffic signals in between. Sometimes, when we are taking a walk on the road, she is asking, what is written on that? earlier question used to be what is that?. Lots of stories are made and played using toys, based on the daily events at Genie kids. Lots of entertainment for us in the evening after long office hours..

    Priya (Mother of Anagha)
  • She loves me

    Just for sharing,
Pranav : Why does Trupti Auntie send me songs every time,
    Mamma: Wonder why?
Pranav :( quite for a while) I think because she loves me :)

Thanks for sending us music every time :)

  • Satisfying

Most valuable benefit is that schooling was introduced the fun way and school is a place they love to go to , this experience should go a long way for the kids.
    - Rishikesh has improved his language skills
    - Observed an overall improvement in his confidence level.
Overall a wonderful place to leave your kids. Things that we liked :
    - Innovative ideas to teach kids.
    - Having specific themes for the month.
Overall the GK team is doing a great job !

Have not heard of any pre-school putting in so much effort and taking pre-schooling so seriously. Most of my friends who have shifted to other schools feel GK is either better or on-par with schools. Feel thats a great compliment for the team, considering the difference in availability of resources.

Overall very satisfying and learning experience for both the parent and the child.

  • emotions

Sai could manage his emotions much better now. He expresses how he feels. We personally like "How life works day". Our son is more interested in exploring things.. We all look forward for Wednesdays. Frankly I am looking for a regular school which works in this lines. - Sadhana mother of Sai

  • commitment

    Dear Padma Auntie,
Last week Pranav did not bring his Fun work to Gk, when he asked me about it, I said it was his responsibility. This week he found a gift wrapper from somewhere and brought it to do his Fun work, he cut them and stuck them on his book. Thank you for instilling a sense of commitment in doing their work and also for demanding from them to do things. He is now looking for different things for his Fun work and show and tell, the other day he found a triangular stone on the road and has preserved it for Tuesday :) I'm sure children are really enjoying sharing their thoughts and work in your class, he looks forward to doing so! Also we enjoyed visiting the track records of Pranav.
Sincere thanks from us to you - Shivani and Vijay.

  • Pre school

I think is the best thing about Geniekids is that Pranay enjoys it - he does not think of it as a place where he "has to" go as part of his daily routine. Some of the changes I have noticed since he started are - he is more social, he believes more in himself - he tries his hand at various things now, he expresses himself much better.

We also feel that this program has not only benefitted Pranay but also us (his parents) - it has introduced us to a different way of looking at our interaction with him and made us reflect upon our own ideas about teaching/parenting. Thank you.

The extensive research that has formed the basis of this program. (And the fact that you share it so openly!!)

    - The planning which goes in is amazing. Everything is meticulously done - the system/order that is in place is very good.

    - Blog and observations - I know what my son did on a DAILY basis. That is unparalleled!

    - How teachers here interact with children creates an open and friendly environment - that's why kids love GenieKids. I like the way issues are handled like how the child is taught what is not acceptable without making him feel not accepted. At the same time other children learn how to deal with a situation which they are uncomfortable in. It's a win-win all around.

    - The only thing required from parents is to have fun with children!!

Khoj does things differently from what other preschool programs do. And therein lies the difference. Kudos to all of you for taking pre-schooling to a different level!

  • Peaceful Thoughts

I have great respect and gratitude towards Geniekids.
I understand that every creation, not only a child, is unique and there is meaning in it.

A school is only a part of one's life. Every moment is holy and is a wonderful opportunity to learn and express the gratitude towards the PROVIDER. If we do that by loving the provider, ourselves and all others, then we will never find time for anything else, let alone complaining.

Since I enrolled my child at Geniekids, I visited the institution only a few times. But I see the reflection of its activities in my child's cheerfulness, her expressions coming out spontaneously to reflect what she learnt at Geniekids.

I love and respect all the divine souls working at Geniekids. - Prasanthan, F/O Harichandhana P

  • commitment

Since my original feedback that Aishverya was a reluctant starter to school in the mornings, we notice a positive change, which we hope that Aishverya sustains.

Aishverya expressed her desire to go to school on a few week-end holidays. It is certainly a tribute to the Geniekids ethos of accepting every child without reservations and bringing the best of commitment to facilitate the child's learning. - Sanjay

  • Acceptance

Dr Rao, who heads Asha integrated school and where Vishnu goes daily for therapy (and was going before he joined geniekids) had called and said they were really very pleased with Vishun's development and said that "you guys were doing a great job!"
My response to her was that "we have done nothing special - its the children in the class that have done all the magic". Having said that - this is definitely a huge complement to Joyce Aunty - her patience and dedication and eagerness to accept and work with vishnu.

Compliments also to the whole khoj team - specially the care givers.
    Ratnesh

  • Fascinating Journey

The way things are being thought out and planned for aarohi, i am sure it will be a fascinating journey for all those who are on the path of discovery (khoj) and are evolving themselves(aarohi) !!  Cheers,

  • best memories for ever

It was an excellent experience for us for past one and half years with Genie-Kids. As Basab was ready for the first day school, we were tentative, little confused and worried a bit, similar to other parents. But day by day it became a fascinating experience by gluing to Genie-kids. The ideas, parent-teacher meeting, participation in mela, debates, discussions,........ it was a dream run. I believe it will remain as one of the best memories for ever, for Basab, and for us as well..

  • Efforts

    I am Nivedya’s mother.

First , let me share some observation about you from Nivedya. You may find this amusing ..Nivedya had been down with viral fever since few days and was at home. One day she happened to hear “barso re” from movie guru on TV and got hooked on to the song.So I downloaded the song video from utube and played it to her. She tells me seeing Aishwarya Rai dancing in front of waterfall scene “Anjali auty maathiri” meaning “like Anjali aunty”.I asked her what similarity she found and then she says when “x” does something naughty Anjali aunty crosses her hands and does the same actions .She actually did show me the same action !

Also you are doing a great job! I had my apprehensions after the initial two days of the settling period when the class was a total chaos. But then watching the same children today for the PCD was a sheer delight. Congratulations and thanks a whole lot for all your efforts

     Regards,

    Indu

  • freedom in school

Good thing about this place is the freedom they give the child to explore things. Teachers are very well trained and staff very friendly. My child loves going there everyday. She eagerly waits for Monday all through the weekend to go to school.

    Debashish Pramanik
  • Acceptance

This is the school where a child is accepted as he is. The faculty empowers him to be independent from day one. Kids enjoy every day at geniekids. He had this habit of biting ..but the faculty did not complain it to the parents but they silently worked on this habit along with the kid and slowly removed that from him... Here we the parents can have one day called parent child day.. where you can enjoy one day with the kid, understand his class, friends etc.. which is absolutely great...

    Dhanya Saseendran mother of shreyas
  • Thank you

It is an educational system with freedom and self will for kids. I think that this is the best way a kid should be introduced to the outside world and also start being confident and comfortable in the environment.I can see that in the way my kid wakes up and is ready to run to school. He is keen on understanding and trying to take his decisions at such a young age. "Thank you" to the entire team at Genie kids for putting so much efforts on daily class schedules and make our kids empowered

  • The journey at Geniekids....

The journey at Geniekids for me and my child has been very exciting. My child is now more independent, empowered. Learning without boundaries offered at Geniekids has really help my child blossom. Interactive sessions held at the school has helped me to be a better parent.

Aruma Raghavan mother of Ananya(3 yrs)
  • Best preschool

This is the best Pre School in Bangalore where children are allowed to be without forcing them or compelling them to do things. In this entire process, the way kids learn is amazing. The methodology that is adopted is about being open and sharing the overall process with the parents and involving the parents at every stage. What is fantastic is that you there is a report published on a daily basis where you get to see what your child has done everyday. Transparency and Empowering children is the mantra of Genie kids. If you love your child, this is the school you are looking for

    Smitha Kini mother of Aadya
  • Unique way...

A school where kids are treated as not simply kids but as different individuals, where the kids are empowered, made to think, become independent in their lives, take responsibilities and simultaneously learning happening through this process. A completely unique way of teaching not for the sake of curriculum but life as a whole. All the faculties and staff, at Genie Kids are kind and very helpful. I truly recommend every parent who is not behind the rat race, to have an experience of this system of education.

    Suma, mother of Harshith
  • Thank you

My daughter is shy by nature. She did not easily interact with others. After attending Genie Kids for a few months, she has blossomed. She is more confident and lively about everyday things. That being said I truly appreciate Genie Kids philosophy of letting the child direct learning and activities. Children learn and progress out of interest, curiosity, and passion not because they are instructed or pressured to do so. My daughter shuts off when pressured, so Genie Kids has the approach that suits her. And although learning is driven by the child`s interest, at the same time, there are clear expectations of the children. My daughter throws her garbage in the dust bin, eats independently etc... since joining Genie Kids. My greatest surprise in enrolling her in Genie Kids is how much my husband and I have learned as parents! Genie Kids staff educate the parents and the community which makes for a smooth and clear transition from home to school and community. Thank you Genie Kids! Our daughter and ourselves have gained so much confidence since joining 1.5 years ago

  • Innovative and Effective

The Experience with Khoj was excellent. My son was empowered, emotionally so much. He has become independent thinker. The environment provided by geniekids was so cozy and comfortable for his. The faculty are so well trained to make the children empower the children and make their education wholesome. The methodology followed by them is very innovative and effective

    Suchitra
  • Growing and learning

I have found Geniekids handling there mission in a very apt manner. I see my daughter growing and learning things really quick and in different manner aligning well with what we were looking for from the Geniekids

    Siddharth
  • Thanks you

Me and Chandrika wish to express our heartfelt thanks to both of you and your amazing team for the wonderful 3 years of association we have had with you. I still remember the day ratnesh had come for a 2 day session at motorola and I was there to listen to him first hand. So glued was I to my seat that I could not help but decide that I would send my kids to your school.

In the days that followed, we got Tanveer Tanisha admitted into your school and thus began a wonderful journey that has lasted a good 3 years now! And in these, we have thanked you guys everyday for the great environment in which the kids developed a good self image, good confidence and friendship with all around. It has been just the kind of start we had wanted to provide them.

I have been enjoying my time with Pranav more and more, Genie Kids has been offering us so much continously. Just to quote a few interesting experiences, Pranav has been learning letters and in this journey my child is seeing letters everywhere- In the hotel one day he saw a big L on the floor, It was a red door mat placed in the form of the letter l, he then went on to arrange cuttlery like an A, H, L and X, he parked his car diagonally between two walls and announced 'N' today in the temple he noticed a W in the flower garland hanging on two adjoining Gods pictures. I'm just loving his joy in discovery! Geniekids has made him love learning and made it so joyful, he enjoys books, music, loves to create his own rhymes, is getting to do many of his jobs independently, finding options, able to communicate his feelings, express himself clearly, is organised. I have much more to discover in this little Genie. Pranav doesn't like to miss school and even on saturdays gets ready to go to Gk. I love the way he asks me in the morning 'Mamma are we going to My Geniekids today?' A million thanks to GenieKids !!

Thank You aunties..

I want to share something about Khoj teachers sorry aunties as kids fondly call them..  I was working with 2 of the khoj faculty for story mela.. When they saw two nice rhymes.. their first reaction was My children will enjoy these rhymes. We will show them in my class tomorrow.  And Aunties were thinking about their class children only when they were wearing masks also.. Such a commitment and involvement I see in khoj faculty..

No wonder I could see great difference in my son.
