What is a Mela?

- not that we need a definition - but the core idea is to get together and participate together. The most awaited mela of the year ECO RAAHIKHOJ  HABBA is here with a different theme.

Why Mela?
~ To involve Parents in their child's school activities in a participative way.
~ To give a rich and unique experience and exposure to children.
~ To foster multi cultural interactions - through sharing, doing, expressing, and mixing.

Eco Raahikhoj Habba is for the parents, by the parents and of the parents of Khoj and Aarohi. Mela is all about having fun and enjoying and doing things together. The theme for this HABBA is based on being eco friendly.

We look forward to your participation in the same.

 

What is HABBA?
Habba is all about putting up of different stalls. The eco friendly Raahikhoj HAbba will have stalls (where child will do things and take it it home after paying according to the stall cost)We have different stalls related to games, snacks, activity where we can use lot of re-usable things,like bottle caps, juice cartons, paints etc. ( take away stalls) . 

 

Why are we having it?

The children and parents get to meet everybody at geniekids and put up their stalls.Children and parents have fun together..

 

How YOU can be involved?

Setting up stalls for and we can be there to help them out with their ideas. Decide the stall you want to choose. Attend meeting in geniekids with your ideas and thoughts. The meeting will help us to know who is putting which stall and how we are going about it. RAAHIKHOJ  HABBA is all about parents setting stalls so we look forward to more involvement in setting up the stalls, organizing and managing the same.

 

When is it happening?

 

We are planning to have  a ECO  RaahiKhoj  Habba  this mela on March  12th Friday  from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00p.m.

How are we having it?

 

 

We have many different themes to chose from for ECO  RaahiKhoj  Habba

 

1.     Making Things, (Buy make and take)

2.     Food Junction

3.     Game junction

4.     Nature cure

 

Things we can use :

 

Old Clothes
Nature( twigs , leaves, Flower, fruits)
Paper, jute, clay ,iron copper,
Tetra packs
Bottle caps
and anything which is eco friendly or Reusable

Some ideas We have:

1. Using old clothes to make somethings and use.
2. Using tetra packs, bottle caps, etc to make some games.
3. Planting a tree
4.Parent child making posters
eco friendly products like bags with leaf prints, t-shirts with animal pics saying save the animals, hand made books on global warming with text and illustrations, paper bags, fused plastic bags/bins, bins or gift boxes made from Kellogg boxes, home
Any more ideas and thoughts are most welcome. Together we will plan and execute the same.

    • Final meeting on eco mela with parents who all are putting stall and volunteers. Meeting time is at -1:30 PM on Monday 8th March.
    • ECO RAAHIKHOJ  HABBA on March  12th Friday  from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00p.m. All parents to take part -Parents and children can set up one or two stalls Waiting for confirmation from parents.
    • Please not on FRIDAY 12th March. children and parents come TOGETHER at 10am and will leave at 12.00.p.m with parents after the MELA. All the kids HAVE to come with PARENTS only.

 

 If you are not able to come to the Geniekids you can join on skype. (our skype username is geniekids)
