Working with Geniekids

To work with geniekids - you would first have to go through any of our training programs.

Kindly note - we do not work on employee basis - rather everybody works with us as an associate - which means each one takes up a certain program or assignments and works for that. Hence various faculties come to geniekids only on the days they have sessions or they want to do some research / design / or discussion.

You bring in your Commitment, and approach to LEARN. We bring in our experience and mission to make learning beautiful event for kids. We both together make a team and ROCK.  You can take up the task as per your interest.

Options (session working timings)

  • Khoj/Aarohi
  • Projects - 10 to 12pm - daily
  • Modules (11:45 to 1pm)- choose the week days
  • Workshops (1:30 to 3) pm - choose the week days
  • Khoj - 9:30 to 12pm - daily
  • Success Saturdays - every Saturday

How to start

  1. After TTT and your practicals. Come as volunteer for some time , understand the program and working systems. You can come as volunteer - observe the work, understand the scope and then decide - you do not get for this duration
  2. Once you are ready with your understanding - you can commit for the duration and program you can take up. - you get paid for this.

Work Scope - once you start working you will be involvd in design, implementation and documentation.

  • For any of the above you need to make the commitment of duration.
  • You need to attend two meetings - one is design meeting and other is working meeting
  • You need to INVEST a lot of time in reading, research, experimenting etc.

Work scope

  • Documentation Expectations: Document Activities; each child observations; session Report, blog and photographs / videos
  • Implementation would include:
  • All preparation - material, resources, guest resource people, trips etc
  • All Communication to parents
  • Responsibility of each child's involvement, learning and any behavioral aspect.

1 Khoj Faculty
Require

  1. TTT/ OTT and Two weeks of practicals
  2. Assist current Khoj Faculty for 1-3 months
  3. Commitment of minimum one academic year
  4. Timings - 8:45 am to 1:30pm. Holidays on Sat-Sun and 10 days during dussera, 10 days during chritmas, and around 1 1/2 months during summers. And also all public holidays.

If you want to be faculty of KHOj - Then come and assist, be in session (9:30 to 12:30pm) and volunteer for three months (minimum twice a week).

For you to be faculty you need to assist current faculty, understand the concept of Khoj. For us to recruit as faculty you need to  finish your practicals. You can volunteer and meanwhile do your practicals - click here to read about Khoj Volunteer.

2 Success Saturday Faculty
Require

  1. TTT/ OTT and Two weeks of practicals
  2. 4 weeks of extra experience
  3. few sessions of Volunteer with SS faculty to understand the scope and working of the program
  4. Commitment of 30 Saturdays
  5. Timings - 9am to 2pm every saturday See calander for the holidays

After you finish your practical take more programs as faculty. You design and prepare the program
Summer program (take 3-4 weeks)- you get Many opportunity/ Options to work during summers.
Smart Genie at Gk or in your area (4 weeks)
Or any other idea
THEN
work with current Success Saturday faculty for Few sessions as volunteer
THEN
Take OFF - you are SS faculty at GK

3 Young Champ
Require -

  1. TTT/ OTT  and Two weeks of practicals
  2. Commitment for minimum 3 months
  3. Timings - 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Or 4 to 5:30pm. Holidays on Sat-Sun and 10 days during dussera, 10 days during chritsma, and around 1 1/2 montsh during summers. And also all public holidays.

After you finish your practicals - join as Young Champ faculty. You can choose to come Once or Twice or Thrice or more in  a week. Read more about the program at the website.

4 Genie Kids trainer - (TTT and OTT) Faculty
Require

  1. TTT/ OTT  and practicals
  2. 100 hrs of working with kids with GK at Gk or any other place
  3. TRC course - 12 sessions and Two weeks of practicals of taking Young Leader in summer or Wonder years programs
  4. Take up any topic - read , research and write minimum one article
  5. Observe current faculty for the TTT sessions you intend to take 
  6. Co-facilitate one session
  7. TAKE OFF - take independent session and MOVE ON
5 Holiday Programme Faculty
  1. Take holiday programme during Christmas, Dussera and Summer Holidays.
6 Magazine Articles - write articles for
  1. Pareting maggazine
  2. E-mag - Sprouts
7 Interesting Volunteer Works
Geniekids is looking for volunteers to contribute to the various activities we do.
Look at the list below if any are of your interest.
However your involvement is not limited to what is listed.
If you are kicked about the kind of work we are doing, and want to be actively be part of it - just talk to either me or aditi about it right away.

While we are inviting you to be a volunteer, once we find your contribution significant and greatly adding value to our work - rest assured you will be remunerated suitably.

1. Web Genie
Maintain, develop and add value to the geniekids web site on an ongoing basis.
Collate material tp be put on the website. Maintain website. MArket website through internet.
Most of the work can be done from home. (broadband must)
 
2. Article Genie
Refine, edit, polish and get the existing articles published in as many newspapers and magazines. Write more articles :-)
Chance to develop writing skills.
Most of the work can be done from home. (broadband must)

 
4. Kits Genie
Conceive and design kits - specially for KHOJ - pre-schoolers.
Chance to develop designing skills.
Most of the work can be done from home. May need to explore materials from market.
 
5. Parenting Genie
Market to corporates/ schools our parenting workshops and then get involved in implementing the workshops.
Chance to develop training / parenting skills.
Most of the work can be done from home - except for going to corporates when we do a workshop there.
 
6. Workshop Module Development
Develop content on training modules and post it on website
Chance to developing a whole array of learning. You should be comfortable with internet and exploring the same. Great opportunity to research.
Most of the work can be done from home (broadband must).

In geniekids we have developed a lot of training modules on various aspects of learning and child development etc.

So if you want to refresh, deepen and widen your learnings of the sessions that you have done or will be doing as part of TTT - pl take part in this exercise.



a). You will choose some topics (we will start with TTT list) and

b) study your notes, presentations (i can mail you to PPTs), read other's reviews from moddle etc

c) then follow certain guidelines of how to and where to post the contents 1 & 2.1, 2.2 and 3.2 on the geniekids website

d) do extra research on the topic

e) add more info to the webpages that you have created

Obviously all of this work is FROM HOME only and purely WEB BASED.

Posting to website is fairly simple - so the work is more on compiling the learning's on each session and then research for the same.
