Child & Parent COUNSELLING
We normally do not counsel children. We have found t
much more effective and much better in the long run to
rather guide the parents to counsel their child. Hence all
sessions start with
Parents.
If we think it is required, we can meet or interact with
the child later (however in almost 95% of the cases this
is not required).
This session will be done by
Aditi –
who is not only a certified counsellor, but being one of
the founder directors of Geniekids, has huge experience
of working with children.
During these sessions we would work
out a plan for you and your child and how you (parent) can
play a more effective role. We would also be able to
recommend you to books, websites and people which may
benefit you and your child.
There are two
ways of doing the Counselling sessions
Email or chat or voice over internet services (like yahoomsg or google talk or skype).
OR
If you are in Bangalore, India - guidance in person,
at our center.
The following are our terms
for offering One-to-one Parenting Guidance:
1) A fixed fee of Rs500 is
charged in the first session. Included in this fee are:
* All subsequent follow-up
sessions on the same issue within a reasonable time period
of upto 3 months
* You can avail unlimited
follow up support on phone or through email within this
period
2) All information and
contents of discussions will be kept completely
confidential by Geniekids

Unless there is a specific reason, the first session
is most effective when BOTH parents attend
- hence we almost insist on it!
4)
In case you are not happy with the counseling sessions the
session fee charged will be refunded in full at any point
of time.
The parent
guidance sessions are initiated by your writing down
all your concerns and issues as an email (or on paper) and
sending it to us. Simultaneously
we will fix
the first session (typically takes 2-3 hours) at a
mutually convenient day and date.
Let us know your convenient slot and dates based on the
fact that both parents need to attend the same.
