Fun Work
What is fun work?
Fun work lists out small activities for parent and child to do together. These are for you to have fun at home while extending the learning from activities done at Geniekids on daily basis. Each fun work is connected to the main activity of the day. The activity name is mentioned for your reference in the fun work list.
How can we enjoy doing fun work?
The fun work needs to be done by both parent and the child independently. Parent doing it with the child becomes the demonstration and reference for the child. The child however needs to be free to do her work independently the way she would like to and is able to.
Please do not draw for your child or even correct or modify her work. We are not expecting a polished or presentable work. The most valuable work is the one the child has done independently. The only support your child needs is encouragement and opportunities to explore and experiment.
Where can we do our fun work?
A drawing book can be dedicated for most of the fun work that would do. Ensure that all fun work are done in the same drawing book (put date please), with one part of the page for the parent and the other part of the child. Some activities may not require a book, eg., Exploring sounds on different surfaces at home and making your own music. In such cases you could write your experience about the particular activity and how you enjoyed it together.
How can we share our fun work with others?
Fun work can be shared once a week with friends and faculty at Geniekids. Faculty and children's responses, if any, would be recorded in the child's book by the faculty. Fun work is not for submission or correction but for you to have fun working together at home.
When can we bring our fun work to Geniekids?
The fun work book can be brought to Geniekids, every Monday for the child to share the interesting work done at home, with friends and faculty.
Enjoy, explore, experience learning together at home.
