language, mathematics, art , science, craft, clay, drama, puppetry,
interpersonal and intrapersonal skills using Geniekids' five resource areas - book
bar, activity station, Science lab, Music Bar and computer Bunker.

Q1: What kind of activities will my child do?
A: Activities in all the above programs are primarily based on Theory of Multiple Intelligence and will expose the child's all the eight
intelligences. All activities are loaded with FUN and enjoyment. They will be based on music, language, books
science, art, craft, numerical activities, kinesthetic and movement activities,
clay, theater & drama, social activities etc.
Q2: Will my child have fun?
A: Surely - Geniekids believes that greatest fun is when children are interested
in what they are doing.
So while we do not entertain your child, the activities and the process of
learning followed by GenieKids is based on child enjoying the whole experience.
Q3: What will my child learn? How will the program help my
child?
A: Kindly understand the objectives carefully. These are developmental
objectives and hence not result oriented rather the goal here is to give child
meaningful experiences which lead to experiential and self learning. Hence, there
is no limit to what all a child might learn, from conceptual understanding,
procedural learning, hard skills, thinking skills, social skills,
emotional skills and development of habits of mind.
Q4: How will you assess my child?
A: We do not believe in assessment of children. We only believe in observing a
child and hence in every session meticulous record of every child's working is
made. These observations are used by the facilitator time to time in planning
for future sessions. Also, when we sit with parents of a child for feedback,
these observations are accessed and we used this data to further plan
development process for the child. Please note under no circumstances is one
child's data compared with another child, nor it is revealed to any other
child's parent.
To really understand answers to questions Q1 to Q4
we request you to visit us personally and we would explain in detail through
enough examples.
Q5: Do you provide transport?
A: No, we do not; kindly arrange the same yourself.
Q6: How many children in one group?
A: Each group consists of maximum of 15 children with one facilitator.
Q7: What if my child misses a session?
A: No session is repeated - hence any session missed cannot be brought back or
compensated in any which way. However, we feel if once in a while a child misses
a session the child should not lose any continuity. For that purpose in each
program there will a few extra sessions - hence flexibility to accommodate any
unforeseen exigency. However, please note only if child is regular, he or she gets the best out of the
program.
Q8: Can I try the program for 1-2
sessions? What if I want to cancel
registration in between?
A: After five years of working with children, parents and teachers,
GenieKids has full confidence in its program. Hence, we feel trial is not
necessary. However, for some reason if you have to withdraw your child in
between, registration amount is refunded pro rata. You need not give the reason for withdrawal, but you will need
to inform us a week in advance. We will not be able to refund money
for the sessions the child does not come without information to us.
Q9: How do you propose to involve parents - in Success Saturday
& Young Champ program?
A: In three ways - Parents will be updated on week to week basis about activities going on
through blogs on our website. Two, feedback session twice in the whole program with the
parents on the child. Three special workshops and sessions for the parents.
At least two parent-child session where parents come into the session to
understand how and what children do!
Q10:
How do I register?
A: You can drop into our center and register by filling a small form and
paying up (we accept cash and cheque payment). Alternatively you download the reg. form
from www.geniekids.com/reg.htm
print it, fill it, attach payment (cheque in favour of "Geniekids") and send
the form to us through
courier or hand delivery. Also send us a mail stating that you have done so and
we will promptly acknowledge on receipt.
Q11: Till when
are registrations open?
A: Till there is vacancy in each age group. However, since group size is small
and limited, early registration is recommended.
