Striking the bells - WY
Today most of the kids who were quiet so long had opened up and and had their own time exploring and doing the activities in many different ways. So we had a great show admiring all the kids. They loved striking the hanging bells. They jumped up and also tried with a news paper bat.Their face was filled with joy on accomplishing the task and looked at us for appreciation.

Opening up
Today all of us were in a mood of singing.Specialy the kids were opening up a lot to songs. That was unusual as the kids came into the circle by themselves and were doing the actions for the songs and were looking up for more songs.

Getting tuned to Geniekids mode
Kids are now settling and getting used to the codes of circle time.Today they were addressed as responsible Genies and they also liked the adjective. They got the concept of who a responsible genie is and liked sticking the bindis on the responsible chart.

Monkeys and Bananas-WY
We became Monkeys and tried to pluck the bananas hanging high from a tree.Kids were involved and tried various ways to reach it,like first called for help and when asked to try on their own,one child jumped, the other child brought a small chair and a third child brought a big chair and plucked it. Another child was not able to reach it though on the big chair and within a second tried to climb over that too. Their faces were glittering with joy and also mine since the purpose of the game was well met with and had a great show.

25th July -Go fishing-WY
Today we marched on a texture mat, and the kids stopped on the soft mat and did not want to go on a sticky mat. That was great fun watching them trying to pull out the scotch tape stuck on their feet which then stuck to their hands, and calling out their momma's for help. Feeding a teddy with the jelly fishes caught by them in a bowl of water with the help of a spoon was a cool show for all of us.They loved doing that and when the fish fell down on the floor they were fighting with it as it was slippery. once they feed the teddy they screamed out of joy.

VAK-kids
Today was exploring through our senses day. There were only six kids and I was surprised to see the mixture of multiple intelligences among the kids, like one child exhibited the visual intelligence by catching butterflies stuck around the room and colouring them, two kids enjoyed finding out the hidden alarm clock by listening to the sound it made, one child is strongly musical intelligent and music could do miracles with him and only one child could sniff the scented flower and enjoyed sniffing around. Though they all enjoy all the activities, todays'observation was different to me.

one -eyed spy
Thats really fun and great watching the kids of wonder years during meditation.kids come down to their mothers lap as soon as the music starts and keep watching all the others' faces where I close my eyes before they could see me.I do that to keep an eye on them while their mothers are meditating.

go for a shopping
Today's theme was expression and we prepared the child for a shopping. children were given tokens,& if they wanted a toy they will have to drop the tokens into the mouth of a pumpkin. though it was a little higher level for the smaller kids, they enjoyed dropping the tokens.Other kids enjoyed exchanging tokens for toys.

High-fives
The session started with the discussion on respecting the child followed by giving high-fives & low-fives to the palms and feet stuck everywhere. children loved doing that and and did the same with each other while leaving. It was wonderful watching the kids painting with their hands with their face lit up with joy.
