followed by practical experience of working with children.

overcome childhood issues, and achieve
their goals. You could work informally at an individual level or part time with
schools, etc.
You could also guide and counsel parents or
start parenting circles.

focusing on areas like success skills, life skills, emotional intelligence and
values.

teacher and want to enhance your understanding of children
and explore ways of working with them.

What do I get from the program?
1 Understand Children
Developmental aspects and stages, Emotional, mental and
behavioral makeup, how differently each child learns etc.
2 Understand how to understand them
Skills of understanding
children, their thinking and feelings, skills of facilitation and counseling
3 Explore various approaches and strategies that actual help child, even
accelerate their development:
Various aspects of learning, approaches
and how to design learning and growth opportunities and how to make it happen.
Specifically
you understand how to stimulate, canalize and hone the intelligence and skills
of the child.
4 Design activities and programs to develop critical success and life skills
Design Consideration -
specially when designing activities and opportunities towards success skills,
life skills and emotional development.
How does the program work
1 Classroom training:
20 sessions, each of three hours spread over nine weeks with classes
twice a week (thrice a week in two weeks - see schedule below). Training through interactive sessions, exercises, activities, role plays, simulation exercises, collaborative presentations etc.
2 Practical Training:
Critical and unique to this training
programs is actual working with children at Geniekids.
Minimum two weeks to three months - depends on
intensity of learning, exposure and experience you want.
3 Access to resources
like GenieKids,
library, educational kits educational design, teacher's reference material etc.

three hours)

Training Fee: Total Rs 6000/-
includes both the sessions ands the practical training.
Earn back this money by conducting sessions at GenieKids after successful completion of practical training.

NOTES

Each session is 3 hrs except wherever marked separately.

While the dates are fixed - The session topics might be juggled around to
accommodate guest faculties. Wherever possible we will try to inform of this
in advance.

Session wise reading material is provided via a program manual at the
beginning. Supporting reading is provided through email after every session.
Further reading and reference is provided through CD at the end of the course.

If you miss any session its your responsibility to make up for that session by
going through relevant reading material, discussing with colleagues, doing an
extra assignment etc. You can also get the session audio/ video recorded.

Assignments form an integral part of the program and will need to be
e-submitted & discussed outside the session.

Practical working with children is core to learning about children. You are
encouraged to look the various options and do practicals according to your
convenient dates.
