Training in Pre-School Education

This program is focused with giving you required insights into early childhood and pre -primary education and empowering you with skills of designing and working with them - be it a group of children or just your child.

Next Batch starts 9th Jan 2010, with 15 sessions held over 15 saturdays - each session 10am to 1pm (last session 17th April). This will be followed by (flexible) practical work with children done at Geniekids center or at a location suitable to you - but under our guidance.
Total Fees Rs6000/-

The training is currently conducted at our center in Indiranagar, Bangalore - but you can also attend the program ONLINE from your city / home!
In either case, you do assignments from home and then do practicals either at Geniekids center or at a place near your house / in your city.

The TPE program will comprise of four components:
1. Classroom learning - insightful, interactive sessions essentially aimed at giving to you a fundamental understanding into the world of children and learning - conducted at our center at Indirangar, Bangalore.
2. Assignments - Essentially a way of reflecting, experimenting and experiencing all the learning that you gathered from the session. (Done from home - you submit them online)
3. Peer to peer - collaborative work for shared learning - discussions, research and group work.
4. Actual practical working with children (to be done with children at Geniekids or a group of children near your home).

Attend this program ONLINE:
We offer all our classroom training program now as a combo online training. Which means while others attend the session physically here in the Geniekids center - you login from your home (or office or cyber cafe) from any city and attend the same session online. You can obviously attend some sessions in-person and some sessions online - a mix! Click here to read how this works

How does this training help you set up a Pre-School?

• The course becomes the primer for you to deepen your knowledge of early childhood, pre-primary educational needs, understanding children and foundation on which you will set up your school.
• The practicals during training offers you not only hands on experience of children and working with them  - but gives you insight into the finer aspect of creating learning environment, setting and using day to day routines, creating systems which help children and parents, etc. You also get the opportunity to observe Geniekids pre-primary sessions - which further add to your training for setting up the pre school.

• We further offer you consultancy - just in case you need additional help in setting up and running the school (at an additional one time investment).

How else can i take this training forward

• You are equipped to work at any other school as a teacher or with any other child development center.
• You can contribute to any children's NGO's efforts part or full time.
•  You can start programs for a small group of children from your home (or tie up with a school near by)
•  You may join Geniekids center (at Bangalore) as a facilitator as per our requirement
