A set of 15 Saturday afternoon sessions
followed by practical experience of designing and conducting learning programs
for 1-6 years.
This Program is ideal for you if:

your own pre-school or day care or child development center, etc.

You are currently a
teacher in a pre-primary school and would like to enhance
your skills and knowledge.

You are a
parent of a infant or toddler, wanting to get a deeper
understanding and ways to enhance your child's development.
Your Qualifications:

No paper qualification is required. If
you can understand English that's enough.

You are open to learning: you look forward to every day, eagerly, as an opportunity to learn about children, to learn about learning and to learn whatever children are learning.
What do I get from the program?
1 Understand the
Child, developmental stages, cognitive, social and emotional development.
2. Understand how children learn best - methods, interaction,
activities, intelligences, etc.
3 How to create an exciting, stimulating, conducive to learning environment
- physical, metal and emotional environment.
3 How to be an
effective facilitator of learning. How to design age appropriate material,
lesson plans etc.
How does the program work
1 Classroom training:
15 sessions, each of three hours spread over 15 Saturdays. Training through interactive sessions, exercises, activities, role plays, simulation exercises, collaborative presentations etc.
2 Practical Training:
Two options -
Option 1: Two weeks
experience of conducting session. In this case the
design of the program is given, guided in preparing the same and then further guided and
supported during conducting the same. (Two continuous weeks - monday to friday -
10 days)
Post this get experience of designing a program on your own and
then conducting it (any program of 10-12
session - could be once a week option).
Option 2: Three month of designing and conducting effective
learning sessions with pre-schoolers. Suitable for people who want to open
their own school or open any of the Geniekids centre.
3 Resources
Session wise reading material is provided via a program manual at the beginning.
Supporting reading is provided through email after every session. Further
reading and reference is provided through CD at the end of the course.
Also during the course and practical you become member of Geniekids library.

Training Fee: Total Rs4800/-. Earn back this money by conducting sessions at Geniekids after successful completion of practical training.

- there is no last date - seats purely on first come basis. register now by
paying Rs1000/- Balance payment at the start of the program.

Each session is 3 hrs except wherever marked separately.

While the dates are fixed - The session topics might be juggled around to
accommodate guest faculties. Wherever possible we will try to inform of this
in advance.

If you miss any session its your responsibility to make up for that session by
going through relevant reading material, discussing with colleagues, doing an
extra assignment etc. You can also get the session audio/ video recorded.

Assignments form an integral part of the program and will need to be
e-submitted & discussed outside the session.

Practical working with children is core to learning about children. You are
encouraged to look the various options and do practicals according to your
convenient dates.
