Train the Trainer

Welcome, you are reading this because you are interested in working with kids and want to get trained for doing so or you simply want to deepen your understanding about children.

The training is done in two forms
1. Classroom version - simply called TTT - where you attend the session at geniekids center in Bangalore. Next Batch starts 11th Nov08

2. Online version - called OTT - where you attend the sessions - from anywhere in the world - from your computer (using a broadband connection and a web-classroom). The objectives, contents, outcome etc of both of the versions is exactly the same. Next Batch starts 12th Nov08

Only the method of delivery of the sessions is different. Read about the training program below and then see relevant links to find out how each of the version works, next batch dates, etc.

The first question we are asked is "what is this program all about?" To get one probable answer to this question – lets hear what Anjana from 8^th batch of TTT (classroom version) has to say,
“TTT is all about a program that trains you to work with children effectively...This is what I opined when I too was an aspirant. When I was undergoing TTT program, though it was all about working with children (including feelings, emotions on one level and the thought and techniques (intellectual) on the other level) effectively.., I realized that all the learnings apply to ME first and foremost as well. The TTT program will comprise of four components:
1. Classroom learning - insightful, interactive classes essentially aimed at giving to you a fundamental understanding into the world of children and learning - either at our center at Indirangar, Bangalore or (for online version) through web classroom.
2. Assignments - Essentially a way of relecting, experiemnting and expereincing all the learning that you gathered from the session. (For both versions - you submit them online)
3. Peer to peer - collaborative work for shared learning - discussions, research and group work.
4. Actual practical working with children (to be done with children at geniekids or a group of children near your home).

The Program is ideal for you if
>> You want to work with children like conducting programs/ workshops for children.
>> Or you want to start own play school, nursery or primary school or a center like geniekids.
>> Or you are aspiring to be a teacher in pre-primary and primary sections of any already established school.
>> Or none of the above BUT you would still like to understand and know about children – in-depth.

>> Children not only like you, they learn from you. You are eager to provide them with opportunities to learn.

"When I joined TTT, I joined it out of curiosity to know what is it at Geniekids that makes kids want to go back there for more. When I attended the sessions, I realized that there is so much more to learn apart from what I had already learned at college.
