The perception is not totally incorrect - more so in today's world when just a graduate can earn much more through a call center :-(
Some schools like the international schools are supposed to have better remuneration packages. The packages in schools vary from 5K per month to 20K. The positive being that you get lots of and long holidays :-)))
Obviously if you run a school or a center of your own - then earning possibility increases and is then totally dependent on your financial goals.
However working in children in general gives more Flexibility and can be made into a job which is part time in nature - a lot of work with children can be tailored around your other family commitments - ideal for non working mothers - who want to be available to their children, yet do meaningful work.

First realise that the classes are only twice a week. So whatever arrangement you need to make - will be required only for two days a week. You can also get your child dropped to geniekids – and the child will wait here – till you finish your class – then both can leave together. A care giver at Geniekids will take care fo your child during this time interval. We will charge you a nominal charge - chcek at the reception.
Let us also give you an example - the Montessori institutes also issue their own certificates - which is not certified by any university - and almost all states in India have Montessori schools - so its unlikely that there is any "requirement' by law to have certification.
If you find the course not suitable for you - within the first few sessions (max 4) – we will cancel your registration, and keeping an amount of Rs1000/- refund the balance fee back to you.
If you need to suspend the course in the middle (after five or more sessions),
we will not refund you the fees,
but you can join back in the any of the future batches - adjusting the fees that you have paid now. You will however need to pay any difference of fees (when you rejoin the fuiture batch), as future batch may have a higher fees to it.
Yes, you are always welcome. We offers many time options – full week, part time, part months, work from home etc – the options are endless. Once you finish your course, meet us, and we can together work out something mutually suitable. See details - working with geneikids at http://www.geniekids.com/content/working-geniekids
While we do not provide any placement – remember we do not consider this program as a job oriented course. However, we would gladly help you with all our guidance and references to help you get the desired placement.
Also we on a regular basis get requests from schools and other organisations for trained faculty. These details we email you promptly.
Yes, you do – but – the certificate in itself does not carry much value or weight. Pl realise that this program is not designed to get you a certificate – but to give you a deep understanding and comprehensive learning.
This "learning" should get you the kind of job/ work / start you own - etc whatever you are looking for. None of the previous participants faced any difficulty in getting the kind of work they wanted or felt that the certificate should have more value. All the previous participants however, really valued the learning from the program.
Let us answer this question by telling you how the previous batch participants have used the training:
Some are working with schools as teachers, some have opened their own pre-schools or their own centers, some are working with NGOs, some are working part time with various organizations, some are working with geniekids, and finally some are simply using their learning with their own children.
The options are unlimited - from working part time to full time - from working from your home to going out, from directly working with children or doing backend (designing) work.
Geniekids itself is always interested in taking people who are committed to work with children.
According to us there is a constant demand of people who have both - passion and commitment to work with children. There is no dearth of work, there is dearth of committed individuals.
Simply put - the more effort you put in, the more you get out of the program. On an average, you will need to spend a minimum of about 3-5 hours every week to complete your assignments. However, remember each assignment is "open" and it purely depends on you how much time and effort you want to put in. More them merrier
There are many ways to "making up" for sessions missed:
1) The foremost being learning from your colleagues. This whole program is based on collaborative learning - and much learning happens because every participant shares their learning with each other. After the session you would get to read what each one of your peers learned from the session. Call your peers and discuss the whole session with them. You can also ask them questions in forums.
2) We can record session on request - you need to co-ordinate with your collegaues. Typically the recoring device is availabl at GK. Your collegue need sto remind the faculty of that day to record the session. You can hear the recording of the whole session.
3) You could also request one of your colleagues to take you through the session - we promote the concept of "study buddies".
4) You would also go through the entire relevant reading, do all the exercises, experiments and assignments. This would cover a lot of session too.
5) You can also discuss the session with the faculty (after having done alltof the above) - essentially you will clarify your doubts - this is best done through forums.
6) You can also attend (numbers permitting) the same session with the next batch of train the trainer (either classroom version or online version).
